We had actually planned to open the Beach Motel Heiligenhafen in summer 2016. But sometimes things turn out differently than you think. In our case, we had hoped to have the building permit in our hands a little quicker - not after 16 months. Then we could have started construction in February 2015 and been ready in time for the 2016 summer season. But would have, would have, bicycle chain - now it is as it is and we opened the doors on 22 December 2016!
The Beach Motel in Heiligenhafen is five times bigger than the one in St. Peter-Ording in terms of the plot of land - so it goes without saying that construction will take a little longer. Good things take time, so to speak.
Our new location in Heiligenhafen will not simply be a copy of the building in SPO. Some time has passed since the opening of the first Beach Motel and in the meantime we have naturally developed the concept further. At the Beach Motel Heiligenhafen, we are fulfilling a long-cherished wish for ourselves - and for many guests: the additional construction of beach flats!
BEACH FLATS
On the 42,000 square metre Beach Motel site, there is enough space for the motel - and a further 9 buildings with a total of 62 flats. Some of the holiday homes have 2 flats each on the ground and upper floors, while the remaining buildings have 3 flats per level. This means: lots of wood, glass, light and modern furnishings with beach flair. To make the most of the location between the Baltic Sea, inland lake and marina, most flats have two balconies or terraces - one facing south and one facing north. Breakfast tastes twice as good with a sea view and the southern exposure plus sunset is perfect for dinner in the evening.
The beach flats are particularly exciting for guests who like to enjoy privacy on holiday, but don't want to miss out on the amenities of a hotel. Because whether you want to relax in complete privacy with family or friends, cook all your own meals and just do your own thing - or come to the Beach Motel for dinner every now and then or use the pool, sauna and wellness area - everything is possible.
